Call for Presentations

The OpenVT Summit invites presentations from anyone who develops open tools or has used open tools in their studies in the fields of vehicle safety, virtual testing, injury biomechanics and road safety.

Whether you maintain an open-source model, have published an open dataset, or have used open tools to answer a research question, we want to hear from you. Contributions from academia, industry, public bodies and independent developers are equally welcome.

Submit an abstract

Submitting on Sessionize

We collect abstracts through Sessionize, which calls every submission a "session". On Sessionize, a "session" just means one talk: a full talk or a lightning talk. To submit your abstract, click Submit a session and fill in the form. If you have more than one talk to propose, submit each one as its own session.

  • Open data — collection, curation, licensing and sharing.
  • Open models and tools — human body models, simulation and virtual-testing software, scenario generation.
  • Injury biomechanics — studies built on open human body models and open tools.
  • Road safety studies — analyses with methods, code or data openly available.
  • Reproducibility — pipelines, benchmarks and evaluation practice.
  • Testing and policy — open source in testing and regulation.

Presentation formats

  • Full talk — 15 minutes
  • Lightning talk — 5 minutes

What to submit

  • Presentation title
  • Abstract (~300 words)
